Project Overview
In Parainen, Turku, Finland, we installed an Athena series solar hybrid energy system for a company, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. The system includes the following main components:

•Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Capacity: 30kWh
•Rooftop Solar Panel Array: 14.62kW
High Efficiency and Smart Control
The system's real-time maximum power generation reaches 13.61kW, accounting for 93% of the installed capacity. This high efficiency ensures that the system can meet the primary energy needs of the company, reducing dependence on the grid and lowering electricity costs.
To achieve optimal energy management, the controller is integrated with the inverter via Ethernet, enabling real-time data exchange and system monitoring. Additionally, the controller acquires electricity market price information from Fortum Tarkka, adjusting operations based on real-time prices to ensure the most economical and efficient management of energy consumption and storage.

Project Outcomes
The table above clearly presents the energy usage situation for the customer after installing the Athena system in July, 2024.
As of July 23, the system achieved a self-consumption of 522.05kWh, accounting for 38.77% of the system’s production and 52.86% of the system’s consumption. Additionally, the equipment sold up to 824.35kWh to the grid while purchasing only 465.58kWh, with the proportion of electricity purchased being significantly lower than the proportion of electricity sold. This demonstrates that, after installing the system, it can export power to the grid. During periods of high electricity prices and heavy loads, the battery or solar power generation will supply power to the load, minimizing dependence on the grid and optimizing cost savings.
